About LERA

The Lekki Phase 1 Residents' Association - Building community spirit since 1997.

Our Story

The Lekki Phase 1 Residents' Association (LERA) was established in 1997 to promote community spirit and provide a platform for residents to address local concerns. Founded by eminent early residents of the scheme, like Gen Lai Yusuf, Group Capt Ogunmiloro, Chief Siji Soetan, Chief Hilary Onukogu, Chief Rasheed Alaba Williams, among others; Chief Siji Soetan became the first chairman of the association.

Lekki Phase 1 is divided into 11 zones for ease of administration. Each zone is managed by the zonal executive committee. The overall management of the scheme is under the leadership of the LERA executive committee.

LERA is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) as The Incorporated Trustees of Lekki Peninsula Phase 1 Residents Association (CAC registration, 2012).
